Actually Remote Terms and Conditions

"Job Seeker" a user searching or applying for remote jobs.

"Employer" a user or company posting job opportunities.

"Platform" the Actually Remote website and its related services.

2. Eligibility

Employers must ensure all posted roles are genuinely remote and available to UK-based candidates.

3. Our Role

Actually Remote acts as an online platform to connect employers with remote job seekers. We do not:

• Act as an employer, recruiter, or staffing agency.
• Vet, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of job listings or candidate applications.
• Participate in the recruitment process.

We do our best to ensure the site is reliable and accessible, but we make no guarantees about the outcome of any job application or hire.

4. Accounts and Registration

Users may create an account to:

• Post or apply for jobs
• Save jobs and set job alerts
• Create a company profile
• Manage job listings and company profile
• Manage billing

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

5. Job Listings and Content

Employers are responsible for ensuring their job listings:

• Accurately describe the role and its requirements
• Are clearly remote and open to UK-based applicants
• Do not contain discriminatory, misleading, or unlawful content

We reserve the right to remove any listing that breaches these terms or does not meet our standards.

6. Payments

Job postings and subscriptions are paid services. All payments are handled securely via Stripe. We do not store or process your billing information directly.

Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase. Refunds are issued at our discretion unless required by law.

7. Subscriptions

Certain features of the platform are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection).

By subscribing, you agree that:

• Payments will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle via Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
• You can cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting us.
• Cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the current period. No refunds are issued for partially used billing periods unless legally required.

8. Fee Changes

We may adjust our pricing or subscription fees from time to time. If you have an active subscription, we'll notify you in advance, and any changes will apply from your next billing cycle. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

9. User Conduct

By using our platform, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purpose
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Post spam or unauthorised advertising
• Attempt to access restricted areas or bypass security

Employers retain ownership of the content they post but grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and promote listings on the platform and related channels (e.g. job alerts, email newsletters, social media).

Our platform may contain links to external websites or services. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control or endorse third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.

12. Availability and Performance

We aim to keep Actually Remote available and running smoothly, but we make no guarantees regarding uptime or performance.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform

If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability is limited to the greater of £100 or the total amount you've paid to us in the past 12 months.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for any breach of these Terms or misuse of the service.

You may close your account at any time. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund unless otherwise agreed.
